Place 5 to 10 numbered markers in a semicircle 10 to 15 feet from the basket, or adjust for skill level.
Player starts at spot 1 with the training ball.
Instructions
Player sets up in triple threat using the hand placement graphics.
Coach calls out one command:
Pass: Simulate a pass and reset
Dribble: Take 1 to 2 dribbles and reset
Shoot: Take a shot using proper form
After each action, move to the next numbered spot until all markers are completed.
Progressions
Add a time limit
Add light defensive pressure
Drill 2: Color Coded Footwork Maze
Focus: Footwork, agility, ball control
Setup
Arrange markers in a zigzag or maze across the court.
Assign each color or number a specific action.
